We had a 3 day weekend here in Japan. Monday (today) was some type of Japanese Holiday. Curtis asked some guys at work what holiday it was and they really didn't seem to know. they just said "happy Monday?" Whatever it was...we got out and enjoyed it.
Saturday we went into Yokohoma City and did some shopping. Nothing real big..no pics to show on that.
Sunday, we went to a BBQ that some guys at Curtis's work gave us. Sekiya (say keya), who Curtis worked with in Decherd, organized it. It was at a park at the beach and we had a great time! Everyone was so nice and really made us welcomed. We then went over to Sea Paradise, which is an amusement park based around marine life. They have an aquarium, rides, and an area where you get up close and personal with dolphins and whales and other marine life. The park did a fireworks display before closing that was synchronized to music. It was really neat. See some pics below.

Today (Monday), we walked around China Town and then to a famous park here, Yamashita Park. It was a gorgeous day!!! The park is on the ocean and it is beautiful.

Well, it was Columbus Day here but they did not let me off. You would think since we live in Columbus . . . oh well! That's really cool that they threw a BBQ for you guys. Was it BBQ like I know it? (or raw?) LOL! The scenery there is really beautiful.Did you find Avery another giraffe? Hope so. Keep up all the fun. I love you guys.
W did get her another giraffe. She was very happy. The BBQ was all cooked, but the food was not what you would expect. We had pork, beef, fish, noodles, unidentifyables...etc.
Hey guys. I completely forgot about this blog! What a bad sister/SIL I am! Sable is doing fine and seems to enjoy our furniture. She has yet to get up on the bed, so we're counting our blessings there. The one thing I was worried about, leaving her inside all day while we're at work, is going fine. She hasn't had a single accident. We just give her a milkbone before we leave and she's fine until we get home (unless she's going in some corner and we haven't found it yet-haha!). She and Pepper have had a couple tiffs, but no blood has been shed, so it's all good.
I read through ALL the posts but commented here so you'd see. The pics are awesome. And Deana, you're so brave. I won't even drive into Nashville by myself! LOL
I wish we could come visit. I think the kids would have a blast. But, well, 3 international trips in 3 years is a bit much for us!
I retract that last comment-apparently she drank too much water today. Luckily, we have a steam cleaner. LOL
