Today after taking Avery to school, I decided to take a walk and visit the local temple and shrine near our house. It is called the Hommoku Temple & Shrine (no, I didn't spell it wrong...we live in Honmoku but the temple name is Hommoku).
This is the view from the top of the hill. It is a view of Honmoku, where we live.

Deana ~ you are such a trooper to venture out to these places alone. Wish I were more like that. I'm so happy for you all. Nice to see the town where you live from atop the hill but . . . I want to see a pic of your house, I bet it's neat. I don't even know what Japanese houses look like. I'm getting a little concerned that y'all are liking it so well over there - you might decide to stay....tell me it ain't so!!! Love you all!
