So much to do & so little time!

As we have less than a month to go, we have so many things to do. We have started language lessons with a wonderful tutor. She has great credentials and is very willing to accommodate us in any way she can. Curtis leaves Monday Sept 1st on a "house hunting" trip and to meet his new co-workers. He will return Friday the 5th with hopefully a place for us to live. This will allow us to know what we need to ship or store. We have made contact with a couple that is already there for Nissan and they have been really helpful in giving us information on things to bring. Turns out that grape jelly doesn't exist over there and a can of Campbell's Cream of Chicken Soup costs $3.00 per can.

The couple we've contacted has a 3 year old daughter and an 8 year old daughter, so Avery will have playmates from the US. We are very excited to take this journey and the support of our friends and family has been great. We would appreciate all the prayers and comments you can give. We want to keep in touch and know what is going on in your lives as well.

Welcome!

Welcome to our blog. We want to invite you to follow us on our journey of living in Japan. We currently have approximately 7 weeks to get ready for our departure. In that time we have so many things to do and so many people to see. We ask all of our friends and family to be understanding as we get ready to embark on this HUGE transition. Keep the thoughts and prayers coming.

With love to all!
