Sunday afternoon, we went to some friends of ours house for a FABULOUS Japanese dinner. Check it out!
Meet Steve, Mayumi, and Arisa.... Arisa goes to Avery's school and they actually live across the street from us!
Mayumi made cheese dip, Japanese style fried chicken, and Nabe (shown above). YUUUUMMMY!
Monday, Avery and I went to a place called Borne Land to have a play date with another one of my Japanese friends. Riko is one of Avery's school mates and dear friends.

So much fun! Apparently I am always the first to check your new post b/c I have noticed that I am the first to comment. Tell me if that gets on your nerves. ;) So are you learning the new recipes Deana? I have had the thought that I like Manuela to cook the Peruvian dishes here, but I need to make sure I learn to make them so that I can carry them back to the states. Oh, and I think Ana would survive in Japan. I noticed Elmo on the screen back behind your neighbors. She is having an Elmo birthday party this weekend. Looks like Avery would be good at the Japanese gameshow in that pic of her in the big bubble looking thing! Ha!
Okay Deana, I am expecting you to introduce us all to some Japanese food when y'all get home. (Hope it's low in carbs)...LOL. How exactly is Japanese fried chicken different from ours? I'm not sure about the Nabe but I do like the container it's in...Ha! I'm so glad y'all are friendly folks & have made lots of friends there.
Can't wait for your company to arrive. Much Love to all XOXOXO
The hamster wheel looked fun! We need a place like that here. I agree with Aunt Pat on the cooking Japanese food for us when you return home! But I know how much you are missing your "American" food so I won't hold you to it!
