This morning, Avery woke up to a basket of goodies that the Easter bunny brought her. Then at her request, Curtis made pancakes for breakfast. Then we were off to church.
After church, we came home and I got started making our Easter lunch for several of the families here. I made poppy seed chicken, green beans, corn, biscuits, and a few other things. While I was cooking, I had boiled some eggs for the kids to color...well...kids old and young.
We then walked over to the neighborhood park and met several of Avery's classmates and friends we had invited to join us in an Easter egg hunt. Everyone seemed to have a really good time and for some kids, it was their first egg hunt ever!
Claudia, Breno's mom, came ready for the festivities!

Wow! That looks like so much fun! Nana and Papa did not get to go Easter Egg Hunting. :-(
All of your friends look like they are having a very good time. AND what beautiful weather. Just perfect to be outside. Avery, you are so grown up and so pretty! We think of you (and your Mom and Dad) often and are glad you get to live in Japan for a little while. Don't eat too much candy and get sick! Love you bunches! Nana & Papa
