Well, we have had a few more adventures. Yesterday my friend, Blanca from Costa Rica, gave Avery and I a "good-bye" lunch. She made us chicken fajitas, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream mixture, black beans, and salsa (ALL FROM SCRATCH!!) and it was FABULOUS!!!! I have to get the recipes!!
Blanca at work making us that fantastic meal!!!!
Avery and her friend Akiko watching Care Bears while we wait.
Blanca is giving us all lessons on the proper way to make our fajitas...it is an art. (from the left: Naomi, Blanca, Mayumi, Claudia)

Saturday, we decided to visit the new Nissan Headquarters and the gallery they have there.
The pictures below will be of some of the cars that are on display at the gallery and I will do my best to describe them, but I'm sure I will botch it up and Curtis will have a coronary...lets see.
The above picture is of a van that is sold here in Japan and seems to be very popular. It is the "smaller" van.
The car above is called the "President" and is a chauffeur car. It is designed to cater to the person riding in the passenger seat left side of the car. The seat reclines, vibrates, and seat in front of it has a pull down "hatch" that opens up to a leg rest....as seen in the picture below. You can own one of these for a measly $160,000. So go on out today and get you one!
Avery is getting ready...she already has a chauffeur!!!
The van above is the "larger" van they sale over here.

This care is called the X-Trail and I really like it. It is smaller than the X-Terra but bigger than the Rogue. I really think they should sale this in the US, but they never ask for my opinion and I didn't see any comment boxes in the gallery.
Now this car is a real BEAUTY!!!! It is the new...ummm...uhhhh, the name slips me (GTR maybe)...anyway it will out run just about anything. The gear shifter is on the steering column. It really is a HOT car. Maybe I'll take this one instead of the X-Trail. Now, just need to get Curtis on that second job so we can afford it.
This van is a handicap accessible contraption. As you can see, the seats have a button on the side that turn and lower the seat almost to the ground, sit down and then raise it all the way back in to the proper position. I figure we will need to get one of these to haul our parents in when they become decrepit.... I've got nothing but love for you!
This humdinger of a vehicle is VERY unique. It seats 3 side-by-side with the driver in the middle. The "bubble" will turn completely around so for those of us that can't parallel park... fear no more! I have a car for you (uh, I mean us). This baby is ready to rock and roll.
For those of you with a need for a blast from the past, we even have something for you. I don't know what this is called....can't read Japanese. But isn't she a beauty!
Now on to something else. Today, Avery and I went to the Yokohoma Anpanman Children's Museum. Anpanman (Bread Man) is a superhero in Japan that dates back 90 years and is now featured in the Guinness Book of World Records. All I really know about him is that he gives people strength by letting them eat parts of him, he fights crime, and the kids LOVE him. Here are some pictures from our day.

Glad to see you are cramming in as much as you possibly can before you guys leave. I honestly don't see how 3 people would fit in that bubble car, but it sure looks cute. Did you get to sit in it?
Food looked great, surely you will invite us over for dinner at least once a week and cook all those recipes you've learned. Great post by the way, very funny!
